Arena Racing Big Hit - February 2007
Blaze went to the Hampton Coliseum on February 23rd to witness a relatively new local sport known as Arena Racing. From a layman's perspective the sport involves suped-up go-carts with NASCAR-like shells capable of reaching speeds of 75 mph on the track. Drivers can range from middle-schoolers (minimum age is 14) to crusty veterans. The races are very exciting with the driver's skill being the determinative factor. Particularly refreshing, was the Pledge of Allegiance and prayer to Jesus Christ that started off the event. Afterwards, Blaze went back to Aldersgate where they were locked-in for the night with the youth group from St. John's.

“Men in a word, must necessarily be controlled either by a power within them or by a power without them, either by the Word of God or by the strong arm of man, either by the Bible or by the bayonet.” - Robert Winthrop (early Speaker of the House)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
