Amtrak to RFK Stadium a Big Hit!

Washington, D.C. Blaze ended the summer by taking the Amtrak and Metro to RFK stadium to see the Washington Nationals defeat the San Francisco Giants 2-1. Barry Bonds, who broke Hank Aaron's career homerun record against the Nationals only 26 days earlier, pinch hit for pitcher Barry Zito in the 8th inning, but was thrown out at first in his only plate appearance. Alas no homerun. Nevertheless, the 15 youth and 11 adults who made the trip had a great time.
[Note: The above is how I originally wrote this, but years later I learned the Giants were the team leading when we left earlier to catch the train back to Newport News, the Nationals tied it up 2-2, and the game went 20 innings with the Nationals finally winning 3-2. I really got this wrong.]
