More of a Historical Archive - Moved to our Facebook page.

If you are a member of the church or a youth parent, we are scheduling most youth events on the Blaze Facebook page now. I am only periodically updating this site. Most parents have already joined the Facebook page and if you have not done so please send me a request and I'll add you. In Christ, Guy Willis

Winter Jam 2007 - February 2007

Blaze joined a sell-out crowd of thousands of young people from all over the region at "The Ted" for Winter Jam 2007 to hear Christian artists Steven Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp, Sanctus Real, Hawk Nelson, New Song, and newcomer Britt Nicole perform. Speaker Tony Nolan shared his faith story of how the love of Christ gave him new hope after being raised in an abusive home. John Morgan, well known President Bush impersonator, performed a comedy routine in character as "The President" as well as sharing his on personal Christian faith with the crowd.

The Commentaries of English jurist William Blackstone were once required reading for all law students in the United States. In Blackstone's view, and in the eyes of those who founded the United States, every right or law comes from God, and the very words rights, laws, freedoms, and so on are meaningless without their divine origin. It was with this understanding that we see our U.S. Constitution's Bill of Rights, not so much as granting fundamental rights to the people, but as limiting government's interference with the fundamental rights already given to them by their Divine Creator.

"Pray, then, in this way: `Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.'" Matthew 6:9
